Východniarska

Východniarska is a mountain ultra trail and long-distance hike for individuals, following on from the popular Východniarska Stovka. The route runs through the eastern part of the Slovak Ore Mountains, mostly across the Volovské Mountains, and offers a challenging 85 km run with +4200 m of elevation gain. The start is in Kluknava and the finish in Kysak, with a 22-hour time limit. The event is open to the public for participants aged 18 and over, and requires registration and payment of the entry fee.

Race-pack collection is on Thursday in Košice from 16:00 to 20:00, and on Friday, 7 August 2026, from 18:00 to 23:00 at Kaštieľ hotela Biela dáma Čierny rytier. Before the start, participants can sleep in the gym at the Primary School in Kluknava; bring your own sleeping mat and sleeping bag. A drop bag can be sent to the aid station at Vyšný Klátov (56 km). Drop bags must be handed in on race morning by 8:30 at the gym of the Primary School in Kluknava. Kluknava is accessible by train and bus; arriving by train in Margecany and taking a bus from there to Kluknava is recommended. The course is 85 km long, with a 22-hour time limit. Mandatory equipment includes a thermal blanket, GPS device and personal cup, among other items. Drop bags can be sent to the 56 km point. The start is in Kluknava and the finish in Kysak. Participants can sleep in the gym, and travel to Kluknava is possible by train or bus.
