Trail Relay Banská Štiavnica – Visegrád – štafety

The Banská Štiavnica - Vyšehrad Trail Relay is a unique 220 km relay race that connects two historic royal towns through the natural beauty of the Štiavnické Hills and the Danube-Ipeľ National Park. The race is designed for teams of 3, teams of 4 to 8 members, and 6-member teams, offering categories for experienced runners and larger teams. The route mainly follows hiking trails and natural reserves, allowing participants to explore cultural and historical monuments as well as natural scenery of the Slovak and Hungarian regions. Organizers emphasize fostering neighborly relations and promoting the region.

The route is divided into 18 segments with varying elevation changes, crossing natural reserves and historical sites. Categories include ULTRA for experienced runners and a solo category from 2025. Registration is conducted via the website, where team captains create their team after registration. The race includes various categories such as ultra, mix, Nordic walking, and individual; registration is open from February to March 2026; the course runs through hiking and natural trails with an emphasis on experience and connecting countries.
