Race description
Strečnianska Mašľa is a mountain ultramarathon and long-distance walk around Strečno, taking place on June 13, 2026. The race offers two routes - a challenging 50 km course with an elevation gain of approximately 2985 meters and a shorter 25 km course, suitable for runners with dogs. The routes run along marked hiking trails through both parts of Malá Fatra and through a section of the national park, with start and finish at the Radinové football pitch in Strečno. Organizers provide start packages, prizes for the best participants, and quality conditions for competitors.

Additional information
Participant limit: 300 for 50 km, 300 for 25 km, 50 for 25 km with a dog. Starting number and chip are assigned by the organizers. Mandatory equipment includes a first aid kit, valid ID, mountain rescue insurance, a charged mobile phone, a personal drinking container, a whistle or bells (recommended for the 50 km route), a map or GPS device, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Accommodation is available in changing rooms or tents at the football pitch. Lodging is also available at Pizzeria Alžbetka and SIP ŽSR Strečno. The race features certified routes, registration opens on March 1, 2026, and is part of the Slovak Ultratrail League. The course passes through the Malá Fatra national park.
