Rajecký maratón

The Rajec Marathon is a traditional running race organized by the Rajec Marathon Club, held in the picturesque surroundings of Rajec and the surrounding area. Runners can expect a challenging course with elevation gain and beautiful natural scenery that will test their endurance and fitness. The event has a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, reflected in its side events and the hospitality at the finish. In addition to the marathon, a half marathon, relay, cross duathlon, and the popular Rajec Borošovec are also held. The Borošovec is a cross-country classic with more than 200 meters of elevation gain.

The Rajec Borošovec is part of the events that kick off the running season in the Rajec Valley. After the races, participants are served goulash and homemade cakes. The Rajec Borošovec course is dry and fast, with possible obstacles such as fallen trees. The event has a family-friendly atmosphere and also attracts younger runners and juniors.
