Poludnica Run

Poludnica Run is a mountain race in the Low Tatras, covering 23 km with 1,600 metres of elevation gain. The course runs mostly along marked hiking trails, through beautiful south-facing forest singletracks, a rock city and the summit of Poludnica, with panoramic views of Liptov and the Tatras. The event is part of the Slovak Skyrunning League and Skyrunner® National Series Slovakia, and also serves as a qualifying race for the Skyrunning World Championships. The atmosphere is friendly, and the course is among the toughest in Slovakia in its category. The 2026 event will be its final edition.

Registration opens on 23 March 2026. Race-day check-in and bib collection take place from 07:00 to 08:40 at the start area. The mass start is at 09:00. The maximum number of participants is 200. There is a refreshment station at the 19 km mark. The course is considered one of the toughest in Slovakia in its category. After the results ceremony at 14:00, there will be a raffle with tickets costing €2. The event is part of the season standings and ITRA points collection, with the opportunity to earn points for the World Championships. The event also includes a raffle, a hot lunch and free parking.
