Na hoľu

Kráľova hoľa is an ITRA-certified vertical kilometer event held at Kráľova hoľa in Horehronie. Runners start from the square in the village of Šumiac and the route goes directly along the blue tourist trail to the top of Kráľova hoľa. The event is a qualifying race for the Skyrunning World Championships 2024 and offers quality support including refreshments and medical services. Registration is open until July 1, 2026, with a participant limit, and the entry fee includes a commemorative item and refreshments.

Registration for competitors is from 7:00 to 9:30 AM either in front of the elementary school building or, in case of bad weather, inside the Šumiac municipal office. Participants under 15 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Organizers provide transportation of dry clothing to the finish line. During the race, refreshments are available at Predné sedlo and at the finish. Mandatory equipment includes hiking gear and a bottle with fluids (minimum 0.5 liters). Protest submissions are accepted until 1:00 PM with a deposit of 50 EUR. The event also includes regional outdoor activities and emphasizes the promotion of tourism and sports in the Horehronie region.
