Medzinárodný Novohradský Maratón štafety

The International Novohrad Marathon Relay is a running relay marathon taking place on May 23, 2026, along a route between Salgótarján, Hungary, and Lučenec, Slovakia. The course is 42.2 km long and is divided into four legs, run by four relay team members. The race is open to men’s, women’s, and mixed teams, with mixed teams required to have at least 50% women and 50% men. Registration is valid once the entry fee has been paid. Capacity is limited to 20 relay teams. Each team consists of four runners, and exchanges are permitted only at designated points. The time limit for the full course is four hours. Accompanying participants on the course by car, bicycle, or scooter is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Runners aged 15 and over may take part. The race takes place on roads open to traffic, with runners keeping to the left. The event is open to participants aged 15 and over, with an emphasis on safety and following the rules. The event also includes cultural activities and online registration.
