Race description
The Chopok Marathon is a challenging mountain run in the beautiful environment of the Low Tatras, testing your abilities on various surfaces and terrains. The race takes place on September 5, 2026, starting at 7:00 from Srdiečko and finishing at Chopok at an altitude of 2004 meters above sea level. There are two main routes available: the SkyMarathon Chopok with a length of 43 km and an elevation gain of 2600 meters, and the shorter Sky Race Jasná Trail with a length of 21 km and an elevation gain of 1400 meters. On the longer route, there is also an option to participate in relay teams. The course runs along both the southern and northern sides of Chopok, including the main ridge, offering beautiful views and diverse terrain.

Additional information
Option to start in relay teams on the long route with 4 or fewer members in segments of approximately 10-11 km. The race is included in the Slovak Skyrunning Association calendar for 2026. The courses are the same as in previous years, allowing performance comparisons. Spectators can watch the runners at various points along the course.
