Race description

The Small Štrbský Marathon is a traditional running race held annually on the second Sunday of July in the village of Štrba under the Tatras. Participants can choose between two main routes - 31 km and 10 km, which run along an asphalt road between Štrba and Liptovská Teplička. The event is part of the Tatry v pohybe project and attracts runners from several countries, with the atmosphere in the square in front of the Cultural House always lively and sports-oriented. The organizers are the municipality of Štrba, the municipality of Liptovská Teplička, and the Štrba Sports Club.

Additional information

The participant limit is 500 runners overall, with priority given to the 31 km route (limit 200) and the 10 km route (limit 300). The race takes place without traffic restrictions, so increased caution is required. Medical support is provided by the Tatra Mountain Rescue Service, NsP Poprad, and the local Red Cross. Participants run at their own risk. The organizer arranges transportation from selected train connections from Tatranská Štrba. The route includes 48 km, 10 km, and children's races; it is part of the Eastern Slovak Youth Running League; registration has set dates and age categories; Nordic Walking is part of the event.
