Kysucký maratón

The Kysuce Marathon is the second-oldest marathon in Slovakia and a major sporting and social event in the Kysuce region. The course runs through the picturesque Kysuce valley along the Kysuca River, with a safer and more attractive route along the running and cycling path introduced in 2025. In addition to the marathon, the event includes a half marathon, a marathon relay and a children’s minimarathon. The start and finish are at Matičné Square in Čadca, in front of the House of Culture. Races are held in various age categories, and participants have access to refreshment stations and facilities including changing rooms and wellness services.

Participants can use the changing rooms, swimming pool and sauna at the local swimming pool. The marathon time limit is 5 hours for 40 km; runners who exceed this time are not guaranteed a place in the results.
