Kokava Trail

Kokava Trail is a certified trail run starting and finishing in Kokava nad Rimavicou, which takes a loop through the Veporské vrchy and Stolické vrchy mountain ranges. The race is held on two routes - the main route is 78 km long with an elevation gain of +3330 m and a time limit of 18 hours, while the shorter Pasiečky Trail is 23 km with +1200 m elevation gain and a 7-hour limit. The course is diverse, with 45% meadow sections, 45% forest trails, and 10% asphalt, without difficult technical passages but including several steeper descents and ascents. Participants will appreciate six refreshment stations and mandatory equipment, which includes an insulating foil, headlamp, mobile phone with a charged SIM card, GPS device, reflective vest, and sufficient fluids. Winners in the categories Men, Women, Men 50+, and Women 50+ will receive medals and material prizes during the awards ceremony at the cultural house.

Mandatory equipment includes an insulating foil, headlamp with new batteries, a charged mobile phone with an active SIM card, a GPS device with the race route (power bank required for mobile navigation), reflective vest or bands, at least 1.5 liters of fluids, your own cup or bottle with a wide mouth, proof of identity, and a visible starting number. The top three in categories Men, Women, Men 50+, and Women 50+ will be awarded. The course does not contain difficult technical sections but includes several steeper descents and ascents. There are 6 refreshment stations on the route. Two routes: 78 km and 23 km, mandatory equipment, certified course, mountain terrain, online registration, part of the Slovak Ultratrail League.
