Hámornický polmaratón

The Hámornický Half Marathon is a traditional running race organized by the Spartak Medzev running club as part of the celebrations of Medzev City Days. The event includes the half marathon, the accompanying Hámornícka Desiatka run, and children’s Hámorníček categories, which are part of the children’s running league. The start is symbolically marked by striking a hammer against an anvil, giving the event a unique atmosphere. Runners can look forward to attractive performance T-shirts, medals with a modern design, and refreshments during the race. The course runs through a beautiful, deep valley, surrounded by natural beauty and the historic atmosphere of the town of Medzev.

Participants receive attractive performance T-shirts and medals with a modern design. Children participate free of charge in 14 categories and receive a packet of sweets and juice at the finish. The event is supported by the city of Medzev and the village of Štós, and the organizers welcome support through 2% tax donations. The course also includes the football stadium; registration is available online and on site; categories are available for men, women, and seniors.
