Fatranský Vĺčko

Fatranský Vĺčko is a canine endurance sport that combines hiking and running with a dog in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Fatra. The event will take place on 30 May 2026 in Turčianske Jaseno and offers two routes: the longer MID, 44 km with +2350 m of elevation gain, and the shorter SHORT, 14 km with +500 m of elevation gain. You can compete in the dog trekking category (person with a dog) or the trail category (running without a dog). Dogs must be kept on a leash or in a harness throughout the entire route; allowing dogs to roam freely will result in disqualification. The organisers recommend the MID route for experienced participants and the SHORT route for beginners or those with less training.

The entry fee includes a race number, timing by code, a participant pack with sponsor gifts, refreshments along the route and a drink at the finish. A meal at the finish (meat or vegetarian) can be purchased for 6 EUR. Participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult; participants aged 15 to 18 need written consent from a legal guardian. The number of participants is limited. Registration is through an external link, and rules apply, including a requirement to keep dogs on a leash and observe safety measures. The event takes place in the Ovčín - Boulder & Bistro area in Turiec.
