Extrém Maratón Oščadnica

Extrém Maratón Oščadnica is a mountain marathon through the picturesque Kysuce countryside, mainly along mountain ridges with beautiful views of Veľká Rača. The 42-kilometre course, with nearly 1,700 metres of elevation gain, tests endurance, strength and a love of the mountains. This is not a race but a recreational running experience that celebrates the joy of movement, friendship and determination. The organisers provide full support, including refreshments, a T-shirt and a get-together after the run.

Runner check-in is on 17.10.2026 from 06:30 to 08:30 at the Oščadnica Cultural Centre. The marathon time limit is 7 hours, with a 5-hour cut-off for reaching Veľká Rača; after that, the organisers do not guarantee refreshments. Registration is available online only, or on site if the start list is not full. Registration closes once the limit of 200 participants is reached. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, baggage storage, showers, refreshments on the course and at the finish, a medal and an after-party.
