Dukelský beh mieru

The Dukla Peace Run is one of the oldest and most significant running events in Slovakia, held every year on the first Sunday in September. The course runs from Dukla to the centre of Svidník and is 19 kilometres long, descending from 479 m above sea level at the start to 244 m above sea level at the finish. Runners follow a historic route associated with the Carpathian-Dukla Operation, commemorating the victims and the struggle for peace in 1944–1945. The event has a rich history and deep emotional significance, bringing together competitive runners and amateurs.

Registration for 2026 is still being prepared. The course is known for its historical significance and the challenge it poses to runners following the route once traversed by soldiers during the Carpathian-Dukla Operation. The event also features accompanying running categories such as the Great Run for Health and the Small Run for Health. The course is approximately 19 km long, starting at Dukla Pass and finishing in Svidník’s pedestrian zone. The event also includes short races and inline skating races; online registration is open until August 2025.
