Bytčiansky Kros

Bytčiansky Kros is a traditional running race in Bytča, offering four courses of varying lengths and difficulty, including the 21 km Super Kros with 500 m of elevation gain. The course runs mostly over terrain such as farm tracks, meadows, and cycle paths, with 80% off-road and 20% paved surfaces. Runners can expect three aid stations on the longer courses and clear course markings. Competitions are divided into age categories for both men and women, with the first three finishers in each category receiving awards.

Runners on the 21 km Super Kros must download the GPS course file to their phone or watch and carry a charged, working mobile phone. The course is marked with ribbons, arrows, and volunteers. The course has changed from previous years because of the cycle path; runners will run along the left side of the Váh Canal. Registration includes the requirement to download the GPS file and have a mobile phone ready. The race takes place over varied terrain, including asphalt, farm tracks, and cycle paths.
