The Veľký Krtíš city street run is a traditional running event organized by the Civic Association Bežci VK, offering various categories including children, hobby runners, and Nordic Walking. The race takes place in the town of Veľký Krtíš and includes courses from 3,000 meters up to the main race of 11,000 meters. The start is divided into children at 09:45 and the main category along with Nordic Walking at 11:00. The event is suitable for the general public and offers discounts for seniors over 60 years old.

A 50% discount on the entry fee for the age category 60 years and older. On-site registration is possible at least 30 minutes before the start of the main race for an increased entry fee of €17. The course includes city streets and asphalt roads; online registration is open until June 14, 2025; the event is suitable for all age groups.
