Race description
The Run to the Green Lake Hut is a mountain race for sports and nature enthusiasts, suitable for amateur and professional athletes alike. The event has been held regularly since 2005 on the second weekend of June and commemorates Karel Jakeš, a prominent Czechoslovak mountaineer. The course crosses challenging mountain terrain with significant elevation gain, making it a test for all participants. The aim is to bring together different sporting groups and offer them a unique experience in the beautiful surroundings of the High Tatras.

The race takes place in June 2026. Registration is available on the official website. The course starts at the Biela voda bus stop and finishes at the Green Lake Hut.
