Beh do Choča

The Run to Choč is a unique running event in the heart of Orava that will test your fitness as you race to the summit of Veľký Choč. The route follows marked hiking trails and climbs steadily, offering beautiful views and the natural surroundings of the Choč National Nature Reserve. The event is for anyone who loves running, sport and nature and wants to enjoy a memorable atmosphere, refreshments and prizes. The run is also held in memory of Jožo Čajka, a sportsman and big-hearted friend.

The maximum number of starters is 250. Registration is available online until 6 September 2023, or on race morning from 7:30 in Vyšný Kubín. The entry fee includes refreshments on the course, lunch and a commemorative gift. The route is marked with coloured ribbons; taking shortcuts will result in disqualification. The first three finishers in each category receive prizes and cash awards, including bonuses for breaking the course record. The race is part of a mountain-race series. Registration is available online and on site; refreshments and a finisher’s gift are included. The race is organised within Choč National Park and is open to runners of all levels.
