Beh do Choča

The Run to Choč is a unique running event in the heart of Orava, testing your physical abilities as you run to the summit of Veľký Choč. The course follows hiking trail markers with elevation gain and offers beautiful views and natural surroundings of the Choč National Nature Reserve. The event is suitable for all lovers of running, sports, and nature who want to experience an exceptional atmosphere and enjoy quality refreshments and rewards. The run is also a tribute to Jožo Čajka, an athlete and friend with a big heart.

The maximum number of participants is 250. Registration is possible online until September 6, 2023, or on the morning of the race from 7:30 in Vyšný Kubín. The registration fee includes refreshments on the course, lunch, and a souvenir item. The course is marked with colored ribbons; shortening the route will lead to disqualification. The top three in each category will receive material prizes and monetary rewards, including bonuses for course record. The race is part of a series of mountain races, with online registration available also on-site, and includes refreshments and a finisher gift. The race is organized within the Choč National Park and is suitable for runners of all levels.
