Bear Foot Poľana

BEAR FOOT POĽANA 2026 is a mountain race in the wild and unique Poľana Mountains, the highest and best-preserved volcano in Central Europe. The race offers two main courses: 24 km with 1,300+ metres of cumulative ascent and 10 km with 600+ metres of ascent. The course passes through popular hiking destinations such as Bystrô Waterfall, the Celtic hillfort of Kaľamárka and the summit of Predná Poľana, while runners enjoy the beauty of deep forests, mountain streams and pastures. The race is part of the Slovak Skyrunning Association league and is limited to 150 runners per course.

Race check-in is open from 7:30 to 9:30; late registration is not possible. Bells or small bells must be used throughout the entire course. There are three refreshment stations at 4.4 km, 10 km and 15 km. The entry fee includes refreshments during and after the race, a unique race bib, a participant pack and timing. The limit is 150 runners per course. The race includes a 24 km course with more than 1,300 m of ascent, is part of the Slovak Skyrunning League, has limited registration and takes place on 1 August 2026.
