Race description
BEAR FOOT POĽANA 2026 is a mountain run set in the wild and unique environment of the Poľana mountain range, which is the highest and best-preserved volcano in Central Europe. The race offers two main courses: 24 km with a cumulative ascent of over 1300 meters and 10 km with over 600 meters of elevation gain. The route passes through tourist-attractive sites such as the Bystrô Waterfall, the Celtic hillfort Kaľamárka, and the Predná Poľana peak, allowing runners to enjoy the beauty of deep forests, mountain streams, and pastures. The race is part of the Slovak Skyrunning Association league and is limited to 150 runners for each course.

Additional information
Check-in for participants is from 7:30 to 9:30; late registration is not possible. Throughout the course, it is mandatory to use a bell or a rattle. There are three refreshment stations at 4.4 km, 10 km, and 15 km. The registration fee includes refreshments during and after the race, a unique start number, a participant package, and timing services. The limit for participants is 150 for each course. The race covers 24 km with over 1300 meters of elevation gain, with a participant limit of 150, and is part of the Slovak Skyrunning League. Registration is limited. The race will take place on August 1, 2026.
