1000-ročný beh

The 1000-Year Run is a running competition organized by SPK Medveď in Spišská Nová Ves. It takes place on 25 April 2026 at the tennis courts by the hospital with polyclinic. The route runs mostly along dirt and forest roads, with the main race covering approximately 9.6 km and 267 m of elevation gain. The event also includes categories for children, adolescents, juniors, Nordic walking, and a run for health. Runners are provided with refreshments on the course and at the finish, including goulash or pirohy and a drink. Registration is available online or by email, and the entry fee is paid on site on race day.

Race-day check-in is from 8:30 to 9:30. The entry fee is paid on site on race day. Each participant is entitled to refreshments at the finish (goulash or pirohy and one drink—beer or Kofola). Results are announced after the last runner finishes, at around 13:30. Registration is also available on site on race day. The main race starts at 11:00, and the children’s races start at 9:30.
